It's now more of a Fitness Blog than anything.

Justify Your June [JYJ]

So I’ve jumped back on the bandwagon with another month-long health and fitness campaign. This next month I’ll be focused on making every little thing I do health and exercise wise count.

The name is all about how I’m going to prove to myself why I am and should continue to be so dedicated to a fit and healthy lifestyle. But really, you can justify any aspect of your life, exercise related or not.

theyseemerowing asked: In that case, I'm doing something wrong being a 5ft 6 lightweight who would flinch at a brick, but not at the mention of a 12k erg.

You think you’d flinch at a brick, but your body knows what it’s doing…

And 12km erg? Ewwww.

Anonymous asked: call me maybe ?

Hey, I just met you.

Indoor Rowing 2000m

Smashed out a 2km erg this morning in PB time. And I finally got under 7 minutes!

6:57.1.

It’s all downhill from here…

theyseemerowing asked: Ah of course ;) I get you. I'm heading for a PhD in procrastination. Are you suggesting that rowers have a lack of brain cells though?

You know how they pick rowers right? They line the biggest people they can find up against a wall and throw brick at them.

They pick the ones that don’t move.

@snowblossom

Oi! Be nice you. Don’t make me start shredding you.

EDIT: Too many ‘you’s in that threat. Apologies.

theyseemerowing asked: Why certified badass?

Well, I completed my Certificate II in Badassery in 2001, which certifies me as a badass. And even though I have since gone on and finished both my Honours and Masters in Being A Badass and Philosophy (Badass) respectively, I felt the ‘certified’ title was more suiting to me as an individual.

Truth be told, I row. So naturally I’m missing a couple of brain cells. The name sounded funny.
